11.06.26For this Episode of "Uncanny" Basel invites bela (they/them) is a South Korean musician and performance artist based between Berlin and Prague. bela narrativises sound, feedback, movement, and image—with guttural vocals as an open mouth in relation to a speaker as an open channel, extending the cavity of resonance and what to listen to within a space collectively. On a conceptual level, their work often tunes their closeness to identity, sexuality, lineage, and the mystical plane of existence. In this regard, their music and performance are asking to renew or expand the sense of locating around sounds and bodies within the social and celestial sphere.
