Multidentity w/ YlangYlang

In these times of dystopian pandemic and harsh capitalism, the word 'multidentity' (and the task of making this mixtape) made me think of an invisible web connecting every human being that is somewhat attuned to its vibrancy. Helplessness, restlessness, anxiety, we are told to work on ourselves, to look inwards and not to the aggressive inequalities that shape our experience. This is not sustainable, we can't continue enduring unfairness, we need new ideas and space to try them out, fail, rethink, shake things up. It will get messy. While, right now, everyone needs to protect themselves against an immediate threat (hopefully while caring for each other) and to isolate themselves (a privilege that not everyone has), I hope this time also iniates these kinds of reflexions about ways of existing with each other, and within nature. It's time remembering again that we are all interconnected, we affect the world. Precarious times for many, there will be fear, there will be difficulties. For people like me, that have the option of slowing down without fearing for their immediate (financial) survival, it seems like a good time to try and visualize the web, its pathways, and infuse it with empathy, care, balance, presence.
