This month's residents bin comes with all the hot treats we've come to expect. All the beats and all the ambient you could ask for. Crazy dub infused kit on Accidental Meetings, usual great tape ambient from Vaagner, Kelan's famous Downtown project given the vinyl treatment via BNC and even a sample pack from Lurka. Wow. Better get started.

Soreab — Perspectives
Resident: Accidental meetings w/ Lucien Douglas Label: Accidental Meetings
Latest addition to Accident Meetings from Soreab. Pretty stripped back percussive gear with a dub infusion later on in the EP. Basically something for every mood on this, relaxing, dancing, cooking, the list goes on. Either way, a really tight cohesive EP from Soreab on a label you have to look out for, lovely stuff.

Slightly different thing with this one and definitely a first on the Residents Bin but here’s a sample pack from the bossman Lurka. 30 kick drums, 30 snares, 30 percs and 10 FX sounds all created fresh by the master and his machines. Seriously amazing sound design on all of these — ready to be repurposed into something entirely your own. Great deal for these, producers get ready.

Reminds me of a very sad Eno mixed with a more sensical Caretaker, very beautiful indeed, only a few tapes left so you know what to do…

TEAK and Studio 89 bossman David J Bull addition to the DKA catalog. 80’s New Beat inspired club tracks with all the sounds we love at NOODS, fierce and metallic percussions churning onwards to dance. Nostalgic in all the right ways I wouldn’t be surprised to hear this on discerning dancefloors in the next few months.

Kelan — Downtown
Resident: NormCore Attitude & Slack Alice Label: Bristol NormCore
Kelan’s fabled Downtown project seeing the light of day via Naples to Bristol powerhouse, Bristol Normcore. Somewhere between Whitehouse and Die Form, Kelan presents a stark look at the world with forceful lyrics and stripped back percussion pushing the red line. Those lucky enough to have witnessed the live show will be well aware of this monster record already but those unfamiliar, make sure you get to know a little piece of Bristol history here.

Seriously uplifting kit across this record, highly recommend you don't sleep on this one!

Truly forward thinking electronics from OOH-sounds again. This time from A/N featuring glistening synthesis pulsating between sparse industro-rhythms. One for those into abstract experimental kit, if you've followed OOH-sounds you'll know what to expect, if you haven't - they have an extensive catalog of incredible tracks ready for you to dive into. Out on cassette and CD for nerds out there.

Third edition of this Hidden Construct series. Gentle early Krautrock-esque synth noodlings — always sweet and soft this is one for those looking to zen out for a while and let the synths wash over them. Reminds me a bit of early electronica at some points throughout the album, however always fresh and crisp. Go check Muzak Concretes shows for a masterclass in these sounds also, highly recommend.

Latest cassette out on Bokeh Versions from Felinto with 30 mins of drones, noise and vocals. Beautifully poised between sultry sensibility and doom-gloom noise the cassette ebbs and flows with the prowess of an artist exhibiting work with pure ease. One for a forest walk, sun kissed afternoon or to transcend a depressing week and brush away the cobwebs... or something like that. Go get it you won't regret it.
